I’m John Keenan, CISSP, founder and Managing Director of Fidelis Language Group. I’m a Spanish–English interpreter and translator with a background in military service, cybersecurity, international operations, and high-stakes communication environments where accuracy, discretion, and professionalism are non-negotiable.

My path into language services was shaped by real-world experience, not just academic study. Before retiring from the U.S. Marine Corps as a lieutenant colonel, I worked in international and operational environments where language, cultural understanding, security, and sound decision-making were closely connected. My professional language background includes Spanish and French, and that experience continues to inform how I approach interpretation and translation today: carefully, ethically, and with a strong awareness of context.

I specialize in professional Spanish–English language services for legal, medical, government, and institutional clients. My work emphasizes clarity, cultural competence, and adherence to industry best practices. I am committed to ongoing professional development and formal training in interpretation and translation, ensuring that my services meet rigorous standards and evolve with client needs.

As a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), I also bring a cybersecurity perspective to work involving technology, international organizations, and multilingual environments. That intersection informs my writing and research on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, language access, privacy, and secure technology development.
